This lightweight Timeline tool helps you visualizing your project's history, progress and deadlines, which makes your project more transparent for developers and your manager.
As a developer, I had been using Simile Timeline with a minimalistic Perl backend - to persist event data -, installed internally on a company linux box to track IT projects I had been working on. Btw, you can find that project on GitHub.
Since I always keep tracking our projects with that tool, I thought that it might be useful for others as well, so I implemented it as a service that you can also use.
